Selecting destination

Operation
  1. In the [Documents List] window, select the hierarchy (drawer or already registered folder) as the destination for the document to be registered.

    For details on how to navigate the hierarchy ➯ "Navigating Hierarchies"

  2. From the Global Toolbar, select [Register Document].
    The [Register Document] window appears.
  3. Go to the next step.

Specifying attributes of the new document

Operation
  1. In [File] of the [Register Document] window, enter the absolute path of the file to be registered as a document.

  2. When a class is set to the cabinet, specify the class of the folder to be registered in [Class] on the [Register Document] window.
  3. From the [Attribute Template] drop-down list of the [Documents List] window, select the template for attribute registration.
    The input fields for attributes defined in the template are displayed.
  4. In the attribute input fields, enter the attribute values for the document to be registered.

Specifying merge

Operation
  1. In the [Merge] window, select one of the following as the method to merge the attributes.
    When inheriting all attribute values of the latest edition of the document except for the attributes whose value was entered in Step 4 of "Specifying the attributes of the document to be registered"
    1. Select the [Merge All] radio button.
      All the [Yes] buttons are selected.
    When inheriting only a part of the attribute values of the latest edition of the document
    1. Set the attribute value for the document to be created, and select the [Yes] buttons on the [Merge] window for the attributes which inherit the attribute values of the latest edition of the document.

      • Edition control attribute cannot be selected as an attribute to be deleted because it is a required attribute.
      • The unique key attribute is always handled as an attribute to be deleted.
    When not inheriting any attribute values of the latest edition of the document
    1. No settings on the [Merge] window is required. If the [Yes] buttons are selected, click the [Clear Selection] button.
      All the [No] buttons are selected.
  2. Click the [Next] button.
    Go to the next step.
  3. Click the [Register] button.
    Document registration starts.
    Click the [OK] button if the [Document Registration Result] window appears.
    The [Documents List] window is redisplayed.

Specifying secondary content

Operation
  1. In the [File] of the [Specify Secondary Content] window, enter the absolute path of the file to be registered as secondary content.

  2. Click the [Register] button.
    Click the [OK] button if the [Document Registration Result] window appears.
    The [Documents List] window is redisplayed.
