Setting Classification Conditions: For Numeric Type Classification by Range

The three numeric types below can be classified by range.

Described below is how to set Numeric type (Double) classification by range.
For the Numeric Type (Integer) and Numeric Type (Long), replace the Numeric type (Double) in this explanation with the appropriate one.

Setting Numeric Type (Double) Classification by Range

Operation
  1. Select the Numeric type (Double) of attributes from the [Attributes] drop-down list in the page displayed by clicking the [Add] button of the [Classification Conditions] page.
  2. Select classification by range from the [Classification Type] drop-down list.
    The [Classification Conditions Numeric Type (Double) Classification by Range] page appears.
  3. Specify the range to classify by Numeric Type (Double). Enter the maximum value and minimum value in [Range (required)].
  4. Specify the interval of the classification folders to be created. Enter the interval of the classification folders in [Interval].
  5. Specify the naming rule for the classification folder name to be created. Enter the common word used among the classification folders in the [Naming Rules for Classification Folder].
  6. Select the word to identify the classification folders to be created from the [Naming Rules for Classification Folder] drop-down list. Select from, [Minimum Value of Range], [Maximum Value of Range], and [Sequence Number].
  7. Specify the order of the classification folders in ascending or descending using [Folder sequence when expanded].
  8. Click the [Expand] button.
    The classification values are listed depending on the conditions which have been set.
  9. [No.] indicates the order of the classification conditions value. When changing the order, check the checkbox on the left side of the condition value to be changed, and change the order by using [Up] button and the [Down] button.

    Click the [Ascending] radio button to change the order in ascending. Click the [Descending] radio button to change the order in descending.

  10. Check the checkbox on the left side of the classification conditions value, and click the [Delete] button.
    The selected condition values are deleted.

  11. The name of the classification folder to be created can be changed. Enter the classification folder name in the [Folder Name] of the list.
  12. When classifying the objects with the condition values which may not be classified to any classification folders, select the [Create] radio button of [Other Folder (required)].
  13. When classifying the objects with the value which is not set to the specified attribute, select the [Create] radio button of [No Value Folder (required)].
  14. Click the [Apply] button.
    The settings are saved, and the [Classification Conditions] page appears.
