The [Parameters] page (New Task Definition) allows you to specify parameters for defining a new task.
The following explains each item of the [Parameters] page (New Task Definition).
If you select [Attribute] or [Expression] for [Specifying Method] and specify multi-values for a single-value parameter, the value of the first element will be used.
Item | Description |

[Parent Task] | Set as follows according to the selection in the [Specifying Method] drop-down list. When [Attribute] is selected: Select an integer-type attribute. If [Multi-value] is selected, the value of the first element will be used. When [Expression] is selected: Enter an integer-type expression. If [Multi-value] is selected, the value of the first element will be used. When [Value] is selected: Select from the [Select Task] window. Displays the Task name. If the task is deleted or hidden to the current user who does not have access permissions, the task ID and "Not registered" appear (e.g. "[Task] 12345 (Not registered)") indicating that the task cannot be referenced. |
[Task Name (Required)] | Enter the name of the new task using within 1,000 characters. Expression can also be entered.

[Task Description] | Enter the name of the new task using within 1,000 characters. Expression can also be entered. When over 1,000 characters are entered, the length of the string will be verified by clicking [Set] button.

[Attachment Files] drop-down list | Specify the file to be attached to the Task Description by selecting the document type attribute. |
[Related Links] | Specify links related to the Task Description in the form of label name and URL, URI type attribute, or expression. A label name should be within 80 characters, and a URL within 256 characters. |
[Related Link to Workprocess] | Select whether to add related links to the "task created" message. If [Attribute] or [Expression] is selected for [Specifying Method], the value "true" means that related links are not added to the message. |
[Member] | Specify the Members of the task using the Address Book. Enter or specify the member of the task using a resource attribute, a resource-type expression, or the Address Book. |
[Leader] | Specify the leader of the task using the Address Book. Enter or specify the leader of the task using a resource attribute, a resource-type expression, or the Address Book. |
[Observer] | Specify the Observer of the task using the Address Book. Enter or specify the observer of the task using a resource attribute, a resource-type expression, or the Address Book. |
[Task Administrators (required)] | Specify the Administrator of the Task using the Address Book. Enter or specify the administrator of the task using a resource attribute, a resource-type expression, or the Address Book. An Assignee, if defined, will also act as Task Administrator. |
[Non-participants (Privileged)] | Specify the non-participants (privileged) of the task using the Address Book. Enter or specify the non-participants (privileged) of the task using a resource attribute, a resource-type expression, or the Address Book. |
[Specify Access Permissions of Non-participants (Privileged)] | Select whether to prevent non-participants (privileged) from accessing the task. In this case, read, write, connect, and disconnect task permissions for non-participants (privileged) are all set to [No]. If the access by non-participants (privileged) is permitted, access permissions are given as follows: Task Administrator, Leader

[Access Permissions of Other Users] | Select whether to prevent other users from accessing the task. In this case, read, write, connect, and disconnect task permissions for other users are all set to [No]. If the access by other users is permitted, access permissions are given as follows: Task Administrator, Leader

[Planned Start Date] | Specify the date when the task is scheduled to start. If you leave this field blank, the system assumes it will start on the date when the task is created.

[Planned Close Date] | Specify the date when the task is scheduled to be closed. If you leave this field blank, the system assumes it will be closed at 23:59:59 (h/m/s) on the day 6 months after the date the task is created. If the specified date is earlier than the Planned Start Date, a date error will occur when the task is being created.

[Mail Notification Settings] | Select whether to notify participants via e-mail that the new task has been created. If [Attribute] or [Expression] is selected for [Specifying Method], the value "true" means that the notification is sent to participants. |
[Attribute for New Task ID] drop-down list | Select an integer-type attribute for the new task ID. If a multi-value attribute is specified, elements will be overwritten by the new task ID. |
[Attribute for New Task URL] drop-down list | Select a URI-type attribute for the new task URL. If a multi-value attribute is specified, elements will be overwritten by the new task URL. |
[Apply] button | Clicking stores the new task definitions. Any values entered by selecting [Value] as the specifying method will be automatically verified. |
