The [Create New Message] window allows you to create a message and to register it in the Task.
The following explains each item in the [Create New Message] window.

| [Message Attribute] drop-down list |
Select the message attribute. When not specifying the attribute, select [None].
The default is [None]. |
| [Urgency] drop-down list |
Select the E-mail mail notification level.
The following three mail notification levels are available.
- [Medium]
Mail Notification is set to either Immediate Mail Settings or Digest Mail Settings, depending on the selection the recipient has made in the [Mail Notifications] window.
- [Urgent]
Mail Notification is set to Immediate Mail Settings by default, regardless of whether the recipient has selected Immediate Mail Settings or Digest Mail Settings.
- [Low]
Messages will not be sent by default, regardless of the selection made by the recipient.
The default is [Medium].
The default value of mail notification method is linked to this [Urgency] settings. However, by changing mail notification method via the [Confirm Message Registration (Change Recipients)] window, the default settings can be overridden. |
| [Title] |
Enter the title of the message.
- This item is required.
- Text may become garbled if machine-dependent characters are used.
Up to 120 half-width alphanumeric characters can be entered. |
| [Contents] |
Enter the message contents. |
| [Register as ToDo] |
[Register as ToDo] radio button
Clicking [Yes] displays the following items. The current message is registered as a ToDo.
The default is [No].
- [ToDo Status]
Select the ToDo status.
- [Due Date]
Specify the Due Date by clicking the relevant radio button.
- [Assignees]
Select the user you want to assign to the ToDo from among the users displayed as candidates. The displayed candidates are the users who have read and write permissions to the content. All users after registration are displayed as "Initiated".
These items are displayed only if the current user has read and write permissions to message titles. Not displayed if the user is either observer or non-participant.
- ToDo Item Open/Close button
Clicking this button shows or hides the following entries.
- [ToDo Status]
Select the ToDo status.
- [Due Date]
Specify the Due Date by clicking the relevant radio button.
- [Assignees]
Select the user you want to assign to the ToDo from among the users displayed as candidates. The displayed candidates are the users who have read and write permissions to the content. All users after registration are displayed as "Initiated".

| [Attachment Files] |
Specify the files to be attached to the message. Specify the file in the dialog box displayed by clicking the [Browse] button.
Or, the file name (including path) can be entered directly.
You can also specify the attachment files by dragging the target files into [Attachment Files] via Windows Explorer, etc. When directly entering the file name, note the following points.
- You cannot use any of the following characters in a file name, which are forbidden in Windows file names: ¥ ⁄ ? " < > |
- Text may become garbled if characters other than alphanumerics are contained.
- Up to 120 half-width alphanumeric characters (including the extension) can be entered as a file name.
- Files having a file name exceeding 200 half-width alphanumeric characters (including the path) cannot be attached.
- When you are using Internet Explorer as web browser, you can specify files by dragging and dropping them only when ActiveX Control is enabled with Resource Management Application or User Profile. If an ActiveX has been enabled, the message "You can also drag-and-drop the file into this area." appears.
- If the dragged file has a file name exceeding 120 bytes including extension, the file is ignored in the server.
To specify four or more attachment files, click the [Add More] button. The specified attachment files are uploaded and the input field of [Attachment Files] becomes blank. However, when specifying the attachment files by a drag-and-drop operation, there is no restriction on the number of files. When the size or the number of files is too large, upload may not be performed properly depending on the network status. You can also attach files registered in CollaboSpace, DocumentSpace, or Workflow. Select the icon or link for a downloadable file, and then drag-and-drop it onto [Attachment Files]. |

The link information related to the message can be attached. Enter any name in [Link Name], and enter the link URL in [URL].
- When specifying four or more links, click the [Add more] button. The specified links are uploaded and the input field of [Link] are added.
- The formats that can be used to specify URL are: "http://", "https://", "ftp://".

Clicking displays the [Confirm Message Registration] window. |
| [Cancel] button |
Clicking this button displays a dialog confirming the settings. Clicking the [Yes] button cancels the message creation and closes the [Create New Message] window. |
