Described below is how to create a classification view.

Creating a classification view

Operation
  1. In the [List View] area on the right side of the [Documents List] window, click the link to the classification cabinet where you want to create a classification view.
    The classification drawers in the clicked classification cabinet are listed in the [List View] area.
  2. In the [List View] area, click the link to the classification drawer where you want to create a classification view.
    The classification views in the clicked classification drawer are listed in the [List View] area.
  3. Select [Register] - [Create Classification View].
    The [Create Classification View] window appears.
    The [Basic Settings] page appears in the right frame.
  4. In the [Basic Settings] page, configure the basic classification view settings such as classification view name.

  5. When you have completed configuring in the [Basic Settings] page, click the [Apply] button.
    The settings you have made in the [Basic Settings] page takes effect.
    To modify the settings that have been applied, click the [Modify] button.
  6. Click the [Classification Conditions] link in the right frame.
    The [Classification Conditions] page appears in the right frame.
  7. Click the [Add] button.
    The page where you can add classification conditions appears.
  8. From the [Attribute] drop-down list, select the attribute to set as the classification conditions. Then, from the [Classification Type] drop-down list, select the classification type of the classification conditions.
    The available classification type varies depending on the attribute selected from the [Attribute] drop-down list.

    For some attributes, specifying the classification value (condition value) is not required. In this case, skip to step 10.

  9. Click the [Determine] button.
    The page for setting the classification conditions for the selected attribute is displayed.
  10. Set the classification conditions for the selected attribute.

  11. Click the [Set] button after setting the classification conditions for the selected attribute.
    The [Classification Conditions] page appears, and the classification conditions for the selected attribute is listed on [Classification Conditions List].
  12. Repeat from step 7 if setting the classification conditions for another attributes is required.

    Up to six hierarchies can be specified for the classification conditions of attributes.

  13. The hierarchy of the [Classification Conditions List] indicates the hierarchy of the created classification folder. When changing the hierarchy, check the checkbox on the left side of the condition value to be changed, and change the hierarchy by using [Up] button and the [Down] button.
  14. Click the [Registration Attributes] link after setting in the [Classification Conditions] page.
    The [Registration Attributes] page appears in the right frame.
  15. Set the attribute value (default value) given automatically when registering an object with a classification view or a classification folder.

    The registration attributes can be set only when the object meets all the following conditions

    • The [Register] radio button of [Registration to Classification View (required)] in the [Basic Settings] page is selected, and [Destination] is set.
    • The classification conditions which can be set with the registration attributes are set in the [Classification Conditions] page.
      Especially, if specifying the cabinet as a classification range, the destination is not set by default. Therefore, the destination needs to be specified obviously. (If any object other than cabinet is specified as the classification range, the destination is the one specified as the default classification range.))

  16. Click the [Setting Information List] link in the left frame to confirm the settings.
    The [Setting Information List] page appears in the right frame.
    The settings set in the [Create Classification View] page can be confirmed in the [Setting Information List] page.
  17. Click the [Create] button.
    The [Confirm Classification View Creation] page appears in the right frame.
  18. Click the [Create] button.
    The classification folders are created under the classification view based on the settings.
    Click the [OK] button if the [Classification View Creation Result] window appears.
    The [Documents List] window appears.
